Jibs, Jibs and more Jibs

Hey guys. I have been doing some research on jib arms and am wondering if there is a model people would recommend more than any other (I am looking somewhere in b/w 8 to 15 feet). Also, how prohibitively expensive is it to get a jib head that can pan as well as tilt? Thanks!

Re: Jibs, Jibs and more Jibs

I bought the NC-1100 from Nuangle.com and have been pretty happy with it. It is very portable and light but still pretty stiff. As for pan/tilt, I used a fluid head on it and get some really nice shots. Best of all it was under $500 shipped.

Hey, that's what erik bryan slavin said... ;)

I have an EZ FX jib. It's more expensive than the ones listed, but it's a great li'l jib. http://www.ezfx.com/

Re: Jibs, Jibs and more Jibs

i'd say check out the dvcrane at dvmoves.com -- great looking crane (with pan and tilt) for 1000 --

i've heard the skycrane is pretty nifty as well -- that's at skycrane.com

and no, i'm not affiliated with either company -- but hey, if you're out there and want to send me a free crane, i won't say no -- ;D

cheers
