Ive been looking at various cranes on the web and found this one from EZFX to be very SMOOTH. The build quality is great. The price seems reasonable but the total cost crane $1200.00 , tripod $580 , and a head ? . So about $2000.00

Is their a crane in the $1000.00 range that has similar quality? The $300.00 range cranes dont seem as smooth as the more expensive brothers.

Any info would be great ,

Thanks,
Chris

Baddgsx,

The actual jib is maybe 40% of your total setup. Be thinking heavy tripod + head, monitor, zoom, iris, stop-start, focus, barbells, cables, and more.

If you look at their kit pricing, including the Kpod and Hercules head, Kessler can be in that price range ($2000) and is pretty good stuff. For crane use the Kpod and Hercules are really superior.

I don't think you will find a decent crane with sticks for $1000. If you do, let us know.

Nothing beats a Kessler Pocket Jib. For the money it is a absolute fantastic deal.
I would recommend to invest in the Hercules head too.
