I just bought the cobra crane and for the price I'm very impressed, when I got it I thought that's it? it must be missing parts? but once it's together it's sweet....
I'm thinking about buying the Cobra Crane as well. What is a good tripod and head combo to support it? I have a 503/525MVB combo now. I've heard of people using a 501 head with the cobra but it's nowhere near rated enough to handle the weight.
right now I'm screwing with my computer trying to restore all the software but after I get that done I'll send in a couple photo's, next weekend I'm shooting a performace peice only music video for this local singer and plan on using it to for some of the shot's so I'll post that later... I bought the cobra crane 1, it more than handles the weight of the camera, you toss on 12.5 pounds of iron weights and it takes a finger to move the rig around.....
Hi All
Anybody use a mini jib for drama?
The head has to pan and tilt too, so essentially what I'm looking for is a way to "float" the camera (i.e. give it zero weight) while booming, panning, tracking (on a dolly) to follow action.
Track would be around 6-12ft, top of boom would be around standing eye height, lowest camera angle around standing knee height., so a 6ft jib would do.
Portable package preferred.
Ideas, anybody?
Cheers
Chris
