Jerky type movements

Hey everyone, not sure if this is the right forum or not to ask this in, but here it goes:

I was wondering what is done in post (if it's even in post) to produce those jerky, sped up movements that are popular in Asian horror films, The Ring being my main example (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03668oTEoIQ , in this video it is after she comes out of the TV, about 1:40 into it).

Thanks for any and all help that anyone can offer :).

You need to film the original footage at 6 fps, then have the subject move at 1/4 speed. Be careful, though, because if the actor moves too quickly then you see trails. When you bring it into VEGAS, play with the frame rate by adding a velocity envelope. You'll need to increase the speed so the actor moves at regular speed. You'll see the effect!
