Jay-Z and Kanye's "No Church in the Wild" by Romain Gavras

Romain Gavras is always pretty amazing. The fact that he can make Kanye West enjoyable to any degree is an incredible testament to his abilities.
 
yeh a bit repetitive and also very similar to his other work. Still wicked but would I'd want to see more diversity now.
 
I think i tend to agree. His work is getting a little bit samey, but he's very good at what he does. And I think as far as cinematography is concerned this is his most impressive video. I'd kill to have a film that looked that good. I'm also very curious as to what it was shot on but RG strikes me as the kind of person who wouldn't be particularly willing to tell.
 
Seeing as this has the same look and feel as MIA-Bad Girls which was shot on Alexa I would put money down that this was shot on an Alexa as well.

.. but his other earlier vids

Coloured kids on the rampage and abusive authorities have been well explored

Right down to the shots - slo mo petrol bombs - close up of barking guard dogs etc

This is just a poor mix of those concepts way less engaging than the earlier work

Also the broader formula - pick a taboo (to some) - like driving arab women - and rub it in the face of those who dont like it

On a side note, yesterday he tweeted kim kardashchiane retweeting my video makes me feel like kanue reevs in matrix. i defo took the wrong pill

I love that he spelt her name completely wrong and posted it anyway.
