does anyone know where I can find the fight sfx used in Bourne movies, I'm not talking about that 70's slap punch sound I mean the more modern swooshes and bang.

Well there are two answers. First what your looking for doesn't exist. Features (that have decent budgets and a real audio post) layer everything. Even low budget "hollywood" films are going to layered up. So that "hit" you want isn't a hit it's three or four hits and maybe a whoosh and god knows what else.

The layers they used are probably a combination of stuff in the designer or supervisors personal library, hits out of Sound Ideas and Hollywood Edge and some new recordings. The new recordings probably are specific to individual weapons, but they had a budget and unless the supervisor had a bucket load of hits he liked a lot they probably recorded a bunch of new hits also. Baseball bats into a side of beef is a favorite, though whacking a rolled up and gaff taped phone book is generally a little less messy. Punching and hitting all sorts of things also work well. Old mattresses, punching bags etc. You will generally also want to pitch some of them down to add some "beef". Also adding gain till you get a little clipping distortion adds impact.

Cheers
