iWear eyeglass monitor

[cmus]

I was just on an airplane and browsed through their inflight shopping catalog. I came across this product:

It is a wearable eyeglass lcd system that is made for watching movies while on an airplane. It got me to thinking. Would this be a viable device for use as a field monitor with my HVX for accurate focusing? It says it sports 2 640x480 lcds and gives the impression of watching a 62 inch tv. Anyone ever used these? I like the price point a lot.

I have absolutely no affiliation with this company. Just curious.

I hear they are really cool for what they are, but I doubt they would work as a camera monitor.

I would check out the Myvu (http://www.myvu.com/), I have the iPod version, and They don't work with my camera, but they work great with the iPod.

I was going to use these for monitoring on my camera crane so I could control the remote head. The resolution is about 300px high, so its not as good as the cameras viewfinder. Good for framing and making sure you dont get glare on the screen....
