I've figured it out!

I have been playing with lights and just concluded that tota lights for me are the best for shooting with the DVX in almost any condition and time that requires illumination.

Does any body here have any preferences? What do you think of tota light?

Re: I've figured it out!

I respectfully call them sh*t-spreaders.

But they sure carry a nice punch for their size and weight.

I find a variety of lighting instruments useful--including a Tota. The Tota is great in a soft box; I don't really use it any other way. Open face lights like the Tota throw out a big wash of light, but they're not particularly controllable. Fresnels are more expensive, but much more controllable--they're the Swiss army knife of lights. If you like a big wash of light, flos are great--they're soft and run cool. Some variety is good for a lighting package.

P.S.
...for weddings! (Just something I did not specified) ;D

I find it hard to light up a Wedding Hall or Church in little time, specially those that have funny colors floor, walls, and colored light fixture… that’s when a couple of Tota’s and white foam boards for bouncing comes well handy for me.

Yes, I'm yet to see a wedding without the video guys holding some totas around. As I said, lightweight, and quite powerful (for video, anyway...)
