iTune - TV Shows

[El Gato Negro]

Will iTunes, ever support an Independent TV series? I have a few concepts that I am currently in the development stages for a number of Online TV Series, direct to IPOD, PDA and Cell Phone with episodes ranging to 6-8 minutes each. Has anybody heard of any success stories of independent tv series making any money or getting publicity through iTunes? So far the only show I've seen to make the jump from online to iTunes is " Happy Tree Friends " which was bought by G4TV. How would I go about proposing the concept to an online distributor? ( if there is such a thing. Atomfilms.com?) Or do I simply self produce and try to get exposure? What would be the ideal price to charge per episode or should I try to get product placement?

i've been wondering the same thing. i know there are quite a few record labels out there that will sign pretty much anyone, put them on itunes, and garner 50% of sales. not a good deal for the artist, but it gets you on itunes. it seems to me that the moving image side is a bit behind the times.
