EDIT:
1:03AM EST -> I take it back. This game sucks balls and was really really bad. Screw that, I want nothing but blowouts from here on out. New prediction 161-1 for the Yankees.
Bwahahahahaha....
Dodgers bounce back and defeat the Braves 5-4.

So, fellas...
Was I the only one completely blown away by the originality of this ad?
I swear I musta watched it back-to-back four times
Damned Cool

Dwight Gooden sentenced to a year and one day in prison. This is another example of a wasted talent. :(

Yeah, it's a shocker and sort of depressing. I think that those players in the 80's were the first huge salaried players where they became set for life. When you look at the fall that he and Strawberry had it is just depressing. Too much fame at too young of an age. I hope this helps him and that things work out for him.

I don't think we ever got Hudson's picks on the season...

This A's game is really getting to me. I'm chain smoking and just received a knock on the door from my neighbor asking if everything is OK because they heard yelling. I told them it was baseball season.

Yeah, the Braves are beating up on the Dodgers right now...it sucks.:furious3:

Okay, Yankee, this was the last time I liked your Yankees:

C Elston Howard
1b Moose Skowron
2b Bobby Richardson
SS Tony Kubek
3B Clete Boyer
LF Yogi Berra
CF The Mick
RF Roger Maris
P Whitey Ford

Growing up, Mickey Mantle was my favorite position player. It's a sad day today as another player passes the Mick. Griffey. No player that I can remember had more presence than Mickey Mantle.

But in 1963 I discovered Sandy Koufax and the Los Angeles Dodgers, and forever that I was a Dodger fan. In 1979 I finally moved to SoCal and got to visit the Stadium which is still one of the most beautiful settings to watch a game in the major leagues.

I'm out of profanity to explain my feelings about this game right now.

Dude, you know what, I respect anyone who knows their baseball. If that knowledge makes you a fan of another team and more specifically a hater of the Yankees, I'm cool with that, but it is people who say that the Red Sox or the White Sox are their favorite team and yet they can't name a single player and then that they hate the Yankees, that pisses me off.

It's hard not to love and respect Koufax, the only player who left it on the mound every single outting.

This game is becoming a nightmare. We lost a 4 run lead, gave up the tie, and now it just keeps getting worse. You can tell how bad it gets because I get quiet. Games like this piss me off for staying awake and being beat at work the next day.

Argh!

Yeah, we were leading 5-0, the Braves tied it 5-5 then went ahead 8-5. Here in the 7th we've just tied it up 8-8, the bases are loaded with 2 outs but I think we're getting ready to leave the bases loaded.

btw, I'm not a Yankee hater... Just not a fan, either. Now for my daughter, the Yankees are her second favorite team, behind the Dodgers, of course.

I'm not much of a fan of the American League. I hate the ****ing designated hitter. I love the purity and strategy of the National League.

I hear that from a lot of people, they just don't like the AL for the DH. I understand it, but I don't think it will change. It's like interleague play was great at first because we got to see all these magical match ups but now the world series isn't as sacred with these hated rivalries.

Honestly, this is game 3 of the season. I have no fingernails left and I'm stressed to the point where I'm chain smoking and pacing. I wonder if I'm going to make it all 162 this season... I'm really pissed right now with our self destruction tonight. Really sucks to just let a game get away like this.

There is just not enough profanity in the world to express what I'm feeling. Must relax... Must relax...

EDIT:

Just got worse. Thomas hit it deep, thought it was gone, but nope, just cleared the bases... 9-4... This night just got worse.

Tell me about it. 8-8 bases loaded with 1 out and we don't score again. Now, we've given up a run in the 8th and we're down 9-8. This just sucks. Not only that, players are dropping like flies. ****.

EDIT: I don't see the DH changing. The NL won't adopt it, and the AL CAN'T give it up...the players union would NEVER allow that.

I'm getting ready to try and watch the Angels / Yankees game but I don't think I'll be able to make it. Rex Hudler is such a DWE that it is almost impossible...oh, wait, that's what MUTE is for...

I've watched 54 innings of Yankees baseball so far and finally we win a game (since openning night). Now I'm in a good mood.

I've been watching BOTH games of a double header, Dodgers v Phillies. Looks like we're going to split. I switch over to the Masters during commercial break.

I kept bouncing from ball game to ball game, and now I have the masters on also. Its one of those things I love about Sundays, good sports coverage.

Padres are 1 - 4

What a shock.

The Yankees were also until today. The beginning of the season means nothing, it's a long season and we've got a 156 more to go. Keep your head up, I think you'll do well in the west.
