It's dolly overdose

Finally got some video of my dolly in action.

I finally got time to brain storm my dolly. I promise to make a detailed tut or a video, if all goes well. The thing about this, is I can take it and put it into 2 pieces. I have the one half done and will finish the other tomorrow hopefully. Once it's complete I'll up some footage. I'll list the parts exact as to mine.

Here is the finished dolly. I'll upload some footage later, but I have to go wait in line for Spider Man 3. Here are some pictures and if anyone wants a tutorial I'll be glad to make one. It's very simple and the cost was really low.

Looks cool - are you going to connect the front t's with a crosspiece as well? Interesting take on the normal DIY dolly - I like it.

yeah, i left that open so that if i ever wanted to i could. i tried put a regular piece but I didn't cut it to the right length.

Pretty cool dolly you got there. If you want it up on HBS, then just send me some good pics.

hey, thanks,

I'll take some pictures of it this weekend. once i get time, i'll actually lay down a nice track and record footage. i have some now, but the track was like 3feet and it didn't do it any justice.

I have two bad bearings right now and it's not making a smooth motion. once i get that fixed i'll post the footage. i bought some new wheels to go along with it. they're roller skate wheels. not rollerblade. they're nice and big and the bearings fit in there real nice.

"I'm assuming curved track isn't possible with PVC?"

Curved track is possible with PVC, but it's hard to get it just right without the right equipment. I'd try sand and a heat gun.

Here is what I came up with for curved track made out of PVC. Mind you this was my test set to see if my idea would work and actually it works very well. I only made half of a circle to start with to see if it would work before I go on and build a full circle.
