It's being released!

Re: It's being released!

I saw it in film school. I nice 16mm print. My best friend split for the bathroom right after the eyeball. How do you forget something like that. But I have not seen it since.

Re: It's being released!

The eyeball scene is classic! :o

"Once Upon a Time ...

A balcony at night.

A man is sharpening a razor by the balcony. The man looks
at the sky through the window-panes and sees ...

A light cloud moving toward the full moon.

Then a young woman's head, her eyes wide open. A razor blade
moves toward one of the eyes.

The light cloud passes now across the moon.

The razor blade cuts through the eye of the young woman,
slicing it."

Now I can not wait to see it again. My wife is not going to be happy with you making me add to my DVD collection.
Thanks ;D

Is that where you went? or go? I know an instuctor there. Sharrenne Jarret. I have shot for here a bunch!
Cinema studies was great. We got to see prints of all the great movies. I would love to see them again like that.

Ya when I went to uofm for a bit I took some film studies courses but didn't have any classes with her.

Re: It's being released!

Love the eyeball scene. Such a visceral moment. I remember seeing it in a class on 16mm. It was dead quiet and then the eyeball slices, and everyone collectively gasps. I saw it in another class later on and it still got to me.

Re: It's being released!

It will be interesting to see the eyeball slicing goodness on DVD! ;)

Re: It's being released!

I had a chance  to goto to the Dali musuem in St Pete, FL and loved it (I love art).

Re: It's being released!

I saw Un Chien Andalou too in film class...

apart from the eyeball cutting scene... the scene where the girls armpit hair plops onto the guys mouth is still stuck in my head... :-/

Re: It's being released!

It is not a documentary. It is a surreal movie. They did slice a real eyeball, but just what creature the eye belongs to is the real question?
