Wow....D50. What's that camera cost now, $100? 
About how far back were you standing with these shallow DOF shots? Makes me want to go shoot some locals around her but I live in a ski resort town and rich white people don't have the character in their faces like you captured.

Well... Number one is interesting, I dislike the completely centered monk but I like the DOF of the flowers with the monk hidden behind it. This image works.
Number two and number three don't really do it for me. I think they are both pretty much nice pictures but the composition is lacking in my opinion.
Number four has potential if you were to crop it differently.
Overall not bad and lots of potential, seems like it was an amazing trip and I'm jealous, very nice work.
