It would be nice to have this as a preview monitor

maybe i'm just too used to seeing photoshop fakes on the net (none pornographic, of course) so it's hard for me to believe in the heliodisplay technology. but i guess it seems like a lot of trouble to go to just to play a practical joke. i have read about the fabric that becomes harder when hit with a high velocity object. i don't recall it involving nanotech though.

Decibel levels are on a curve. For example, 60db would be as loud as normal conversation and 80db would be as loud as a vacuum cleaner. 15% louder than a PC would be nowhere near 65-80db. Just fyi... :P

that nanontech stuff is mind blowing...its gonna be called the next industrial revolutions - imagine, everyone at home has a nanoscontructing device....you see a product on your 'helio display' say an 24-in-one gourmet potato peeler...you punch in the code -> credit card transaction -> the company beams the schematics to your online nano device -> you pour some matter into the nano device (a block of wood or plastic or anything) and the nano device constructs the potato peeler atom for atom...pops it into the prize bin....flawless, atom for atom and in your hands :o

Actually, the walls in my editing room are red. I put a blue color cast on that part of the film to give it a more clinical feel and to contrast with the footage in my film within a film

:)

more on nano tech stuff... this is true straight from a guy I know at IBM. They have nano bots that can be delivered through your blood and actually have a propulsion system in where they can control where it goes. He said something about a book called Prey, in it has something called nano dust. This is a reality today. he said it can be put in paint and painted on a wall and they can use it to spy on you. it can be blown under a door and when you inhale it they can track you. He said you would be amazed at how many inventions like this are a reality but are for military purposes only. He himself is a top inventor there and holds over 85 patents. Most of which the general public will never know of.

And you should see what the military is doing with it's new line of trumpets...

that stuff really creeps me out. Imagine if it lands in the wrong hands. :o

Yeah, nanotech makes it impossible to know when you are being spied upon and easy for anyone to do the spying. Kind of scary stuff.

Nano-tech has some cool medical uses though. They can inject nanites into your bloodstream that clean out your arteries. Pretty impressive.
