It Lives...Now what?

I got the Umax Supermac 500 back on line, It Was a fight but she finaly complied. I want to retire my old atari 1040 st from the music business and let the little supermac take over these duties. I'm guessing, like a pc, I will need a soundcard with a midi interface and some software. Anyone have any suggestions? Do I get a card for one of the expansion slots to do the midi? Also, can anybody guess what would be the highest os it would take? It's running 7.6 now but looks like it's corrupt. Would it take system 9 do ya think. One more thing, I'm really hooped without a scroll wheel (what if BRM posts again) can I get one for the Mac?

Look...Let's get on the same page here, I want a responce here or the Mac gets it, it's beein a ***** as it is....I don't mind takin it out!

Might as well, it doesn't seem to be measuring up for anything else. It's done nothing but crash since I brought it to life, but it still has a happy face when it starts up....Maybe it's drunk?
