It has begun.

Not much to look at but I have begun putting together my personal lil website (Like all of you!).  So far it's just the Logo/image.  Who know's, I might change later, but I had to get something up!  Just wanted to share!

Re: It has begun.

Thanks J-dogg. I have a vision. ;)

It's funny, I stole a section of a panoramic jpeg from the upper right horizon, used 2 font(s) and size(s), through in a screen overlay and added the classic lens flare (Prime of course).

Re: It has begun.

Who does your web hosting, John? I'm gearing up to launch a site myself, but I'm not sure where to do it.

I figure if it's good enough for the Golden Member (don't GO there), it's good enough for me.

Re: It has begun.

LOL

Well, I have a huge server at my office that is MINE for my real life company (you know, not film related!). As far as the INTERNET host is, Im not quiet sure. (My IT guy knows).

But my company and personal film site (and my wifes NEW company) will be on our server!

Re: It has begun.

Hey, cool logo John, one thought, when building a website what i like to look at big company websites like sony etc.. and take err....sorry *learn* a particlular style and format/ design take a look at lots of different websites and came up with your own design from the ideas of others!!

Hope that helps ;D

Re: It has begun.

Totally agree!

My other site I designed is www.acuhire.com

Nothing fancy, definatley corporate and businessy with no unnecessary flair.

Jubal - You gotta get an IT guy! I design everything and he is the CODE MONKEY.

Re: It has begun.

(but I like John host my site on my own server)

All my clients I setup on external hosts like mediatemple

Re: It has begun.

The real question here, KAI, is why the Golden Globes are on and none of us are there.

 ???  :'(  :-/  :-[  :o  :(  >:(  :D  ;D

Re: It has begun.

haha because the dvx revolution has just begun... our award winning features are still infants within our little dv-infused minds... give it a couple years and once we infiltrate the evil celluloid universe with our fighting ones & zeros, we'll show em who the globes belong to! 8)

Re: It has begun.

True that, true that.

Patrica Clarkson, Pieces of April

Sony DSR-PD150

We all know the DVX100 is a far superior camera over the Sony. What's my point? That we can shoot a kick ass film and have it at the Globes! Yeah baby yeah!

Damn, Im so optimistic its sick.

Re: It has begun.

wasnt "thirteen" shot on pd150's as well- i might be thinking of personal velocity... and blair witch wasnt anything special image wise either  for being the one of the highest grossing indipendents of all time at over 200 mil worldwide (if i remember correctly)+ a whole franchise following.

Re: It has begun.

That just proves... it's all about a good story. The techniques used in production just tell the story.

John- so when are we starting our indie? ;)
