I just got my 100ae today. The battery is charging as i speak and i cant wait to try it out. Its such a slick looking peice of gear.
I will be wanting to post some footage and am wondering how i post some film clips on the forum. Can i use someones server?
I cant wait to try it.

Thanks so much and it feels great to finally own such an amazing peice of gear. Thanks to Barry who helped me decided on this over the XL2. Now i can get on with what i love doing best. Making films.

This forum is great. ;D ;D

Re: It finally Came!

Congratulations and welcome! You 2 are going to have a great time together.

Good luck and have fun!

Re: It finally Came!

Don't forget, the camera has a 6 hour break in period!

Don't let the recording head RPMs run over 5000 for the first six hours, Don't forget to vary the RPMs a little too. Dont let it sit at a constant 2500. Vary it between 2500 and 3000 every 15 minutes. ;)

Re: It finally Came!

Yeah it does make a clicking noise when it is tipped back and forth but i thought that was the OIS.
How do you vary RPM between 2500 3000?
This camera is awsome, decided to order Barry's book though.
There is no saturation control on the cam, is this normal.

Thanks

Re: It finally Came!

You'll find the saturation control under the Scene File menu listed as "Chroma Level".

Hey mynamesbuck,

Don't sweat the RPM thing -- they're just razzing a new user! Your book/DVD are going out today.

Cripes!

Well thanks barry... geez.. and I have been going nuts these past 11 months trying to figure out how to set my RPM's back to 3000... they have been stuck at 5000 this whole time... and now I find out that it was all in my head!

time for that cat-scan..

Why does the camera make that noise when it's tipped back and forth?
