We have a Sony HDV deck that has suddenly stopped showing an image and sound when playing back a MiniDV. There is no timecode either, yet you can clearly hear the tape playing inside of the unit. I've inserted a head cleaning cassette, and am about to contact Sony or a repair shop, but am wondering if anyone else has experienced this. We've had the unit since 2008.
