Issues with allen keys and 35mm adapter

This is the issue with using Allen keys on a 35mm adapter.

This is the Letus Extreme 35mm adapter with my EX1. Is there a way to minimize this issue or resolve this issue? I'm not an engineer but I think this one hell of a way to secure a 2 pound adapter to a 77mm thread on an EX1 lens with Allen keys.

I hope LetusDirect see this photo on how designing a system that uses Allen keys will do to the product itself.

It's an entirely cosmetic issue. It's a solid block of aluminum underneath and you get a few scratches, but that's it. My Letus looks exactly like that and it's been working fine for over two years. It's a common allen key design and you also see it used in some Zacuto product too for example, and those are built like tanks.

Yes, but I'm saying cosmetically, it just doesn't look professional. But, again, I'm not an engineer so I'm not sure what else LetusDirect or Zacuto is going to do to prevent this kind of cosmetic issue. My concern is that if this kinds of marks keeps piling up, it may eventually cause some issues with the function of the product.

It's the inside of your adapter, so who's gonna see it? Professional gears are beat up on set all the times, and like I said that's solid aluminum underneath and all that's coming off is the outer coating. If you run your hand across it you'll see that it's not really eating into the surface at all. By the time you eat through the surface your allen screw will be gone first.

I really hope so, Huy Vu. Thanks for assuring me. I feel much better now.
