Hallo,

i'm experienced an issue that i never had when plugging the RX of my Sennheiser to a FX1 camcorder. Once i plugged the RX to the Tascam DR 100 i set as input : LINE (if i use the small cable) or :XLR with Pahantom power switched ON if i use the XLR cable. Unfortunately i have no sound. If i plug the same RX to any cameras everthing works perfectly
Any ideas guys?

Phantom power should NEVER be turned on if you are using a radio mic receiver...... It will just flatten the batteries of the recorder MUCH faster, and often with some Rx units (like the Senni G2) will possibly damage them.

Phantom power is ONLY used to power a cabled microphones.

If I had to guess it would be because the mini jack is labled Line 2 and I bet you have to pick line 2 from a menu of input choices. Just a gueass though since you haven't given a lot of info.

Actually there would be two guesses before I got to the one above.

Does it have power?
Is it turned on?

Then, do you have the input set to the input you are using.

I recall on the Sennheiser G2/3 EK100 portable receiver's 1/8" output, the plug's 'Ring' terminal must be floated (not connected). A conventionally wired 1/8" TRS plug would short-out. Definitely, Phantom Power should be OFF.

Very interesting.
This would certainly explain it.
