Isara Guerilla Marketing Campaign

I know you're all getting tired of me, BUT thanks to you the www.isara.com statistics have gone up 1000% in the last month and we received our first advertiser. ALL that money then went to help children at a local school.

In order to get the word out to the average Joe, I've come up with a guerilla marketing campaign that is similar to what everyone has done with their signatures. Only on a MUCH bigger scale.

Here It Is:
Post the "Blue Man" (isara logo) any where in your town. On a lightpole, billboard, side of a bus, school message board, car bumper, or any place that isn't dangerous or illegal :) Then take a photo or video of it or you posting it. We can post the images here and at a gallery on the Isara.com website. Below are links to hi-res versions you can print. Feel free to resize them.

Logo (150dpi): GIF | PNG
Logo (72dpi): GIF | PNG

This can work but we need as many people, in as many locations as possible, to post the Blue Man. So please tell your friends to post one in their neighborhood too. Do it. Do it.

Thanks!

Great idea, I'm down for it! Should be fun :cheesy:

Did the idea come from the last Bon Jovi video?

Nah, it's better off this way. See, if there is a url on the logo, it's yet another advertisement. If it's just pic of some weird blue man without any explanation, people are gonna start wondering wth it is. More and more as they see it.

We had a campaign like that here in Moscow this summer - billboards with Johnny Depp from Dead Man on them without any text or info. It lasted for about a month and everyone was going "What the hell is that supposed to mean?". And then one day they added all the missing stuff - it was an ad for the largest broadband ISP and their new service - IP TV. I think they have at least doubled their userbase since...

Thanks alot! Can't wait to see some photos or video. Maybe, once the first person posts theirs, others will follow. :)

This type of campaign has been around for a while (Bon Jovi, Black Eyed Peas, Ghostbusters, Kilroy.) Some tv commercials have even done it. Just showing you a blank screen with the words "It's coming." I guess it creates mystery and curiosity. Either way it's much better than an obvious ad.

im gonna go print sum out and jus tape them to random **** i see on the streets

hm...maybe this week if my friends all agree wit me..cuz we are still planning..we're gonna skip a day of education and take the subway to NYCity and go to Rockafeller center and hang out there...i might bring a few print outs of that guy and tape it on random spots i see and take pics of them.

:)

PJC - EXCELLENT!!! That is a VERY cool shot. It looks almost Photoshop'd (Johnny Depp at Mardi Gras). :) Do you mind if I put it on the website gallery?

blckhawk - That would be incredible, having shots of the Blue Man in NYC. Of course, the irony being, you'd be skipping school and the site is meant to promote education and personal growth. :) But I don't care. People can learn a lot from a day in NYC. hehehehehe Do it. Do it.

Thanks PJC.

Anyone else able to print the Blue Man and post it somewhere? Other than dog butts. :) Anything would be appreciated.
