Is Vidled for me?

Thank you MattinSTL, you are a great teacher. I hope this will be a Sticky as well as your precedent video. :) :dankk2:

This stuff isn't sticky worthy... but thanks... that's all I want out of it. If it helps you... I'm good.

The DVXuser community is a surprising resource... if we all offer up whatever we can and get something out of it from everybody else... all the better. This was no big deal really.

Maybe not a big deal but this is a great example of how useful these lights are. This stuff needs to be on the VidLED sight. I've got a daylight scheduled to arrive in a few days and am now even more excited. Never really considered putting it on a stand... Got mine to shoot run and gun dog show video with a multirig and I think I'll have to throw in a few sit down interviews in the hotel with the light on a stand. Nice work Matt!

You are too humble Matt, many on this site are enthousiast but lacking experience. A demonstration like yours is worth a lot. Il is visual and to the point.
I agree with jdajda it would be nice to see it on Vidled site. As far as I am concern it demonstrate elegantly that you can put together a very "light" lighting kit tht will met the challenge of documentarians who have to travel. Vidled is a great and affordable solution when you know how to use it and you show how to use it.

No, not really. The adapter is also meant only to power one LED, not two.
You could, however, run two coolLEDs attached to each other, with a Li-Ion battery pack we sell bolted to the top light; that works just fine.
Can the Tekkeon Battery on your site power two Vidleds?
And how long does shipping to Europe take usually?

PS: Good vids, Matt!

Yes, the Tekkeon can power two VIDLEDs no problem, but you'd need a splitter [Y] cable (inlcuded with the attachment kit).

Shipping to Europe takes about a week (we use USPS EMS Global Express Mail). Or at an extra cost (Expedited Service) we ship FedEx which takes about two days.

I agree!! Nicely done indeed.

Just got mine today... it is BRIGHT! Marius has an outstanding product. I'm getting ready to do some short documentary work on a dog show and need something to give my walkaround impromptu interviews and hellos some depth and get them out of that indoors with bad lighting look. I think this coupled with my multirig that is in the mail is going to be perfect. This thing is also as Marius has shown is built like a tank. Very high attention to detail, and I'm honestly surprised this doesnt cost alot more just because of how well this is built.

Of course I immediately blinded myself with it and learned not to look at the light at full intensity. The dimmer on this light makes it so versatile. Awesome work Marius!

The time to order is FAST, especially if you use the online ordering process (Paypal), but it can take up to 14 days before we ship! :)

The VIDLED guys are fantastic when it comes to that as long as they have it in stock. I ordered two of the BLACK COOLLEDs and everytime my fellow videographers see me, they are amazed.
Post service support is good too, aftering ordering I noticed one defective minor item (not the vidled) sen them an e-mail and within a few days they sent me a replacement.

Will be ordering two more soon.

Well, I'm glad to hear the testimonials. I ordered my Vidled a week ago and never received an email saying they received my order.

I have to chime in here with my thoughts.

I agree with all the praise that the VIDLED is getting and I have found it to be a great, small, and bright tool. I have used it as a fill in full sunlight, as a rim in a music video, as a background light while shooting statues (see link below), and although I wasn't shooting anything, tonight I wanted to finish mowing my lawn and it was getting dark, so I used a cartilini clamp and stuck it on my pushmower!
I have sent Marcus a bunch of photos of his light in use, and hope that he gets them up on his site, as well as the stated video (that for some reason took me to a bad link :-()
Anyways, this is the best, cheapest light of it's kind and Marcus is a great guy to deal with...buy one, or two, or three and you will not be dissapointed!

I had to laugh, I've used mine to help me work on a car, and often as a torch, just such a versatile light!!

Why does it take so long to ship? do you guys just recieve orders, then on a certain day you ship them all out?

I want a Vidled!

Only I'm not sure which is for me (warm, day white, cool white), while I know each has a niche, which is the most versatile? Is brighter better?

I'd most likely use at night; and after watching those samples, as a fill in sunlight!

Once we receive the order we make the light. It takes time. We make 'em right here in Pennsylvania by the way...
