Is vegas 5 really multi-threaded?

Hey everyone, I've been specing out a new monster system for our edit lab that will host a new copy of vegas 5 (we've been using 4).

I'm building a monster dual xeon 3.4 workstation with 4 gigs of ram, but in the process of researching hyperthreading (it's a bios option in the PC)...I've been seeing a lot of posts about how vegas is not fully multi-processor aware.

Does anyone know how well vegas 5 supports dual processors, and if it actually benefits any from hyperthreading?

Is the network rendering process multi-processor aware?

In effect, I'll have two dual xeons available for rendering, but it won't increase my productivity much if effects renders aren't sped up.

(I had a four hour render yesterday on a dual 2.4, 2 gig system yesterday...trying to avoid more of that)

Yes, you can set it up to have two spearate nodes and use both processors.

okay, but could I set it up on two different hardware nodes and use the 2 processors in each? Meaning 4 total? Would you get any benefit from hyperthreading two of the processors?

1 Machine: 2 nodes
2 Machines: 4 nodes
3 machines: 6 nodes

The more nodes, the more rendering gets done at once.
