Is this Spielberg at 26?

J.R. Hudson

This is bizarre; I don't think it is; but is it? This dude in the "I know what you did last summer" outfit? He makes this weird, reoccurring cameo in this scene and he is just 'peering' over the shoulders of our dudes. Is this Steven Spielberg at 26?

hmm...i dunno...it might be...the thing that im not buying is his neck or nose...stevos got more of a bulby nose than that guy...but who nose maybe makeup did a good job that day. i dunno

How did they get that hook through his nose? I don't think I'd let anyone do that to me not matter what set I was on!

(BTW - it looks pretty convincing, I'd buy it too. Maybe for a buck ...)

Check IMDB. Spielberg does have a cameo in Jaws, and they list it, but I can't remember where it was.

Chris

IMDB lists him as having a voice-only cameo as the Amity Point Lifestation Worker on Quint's radio. Who knows?

From IMDB:

Jaws (1975) (voice) (uncredited) .... Amity Point Lifestation Worker

Also

Steven Spielberg .... musician: clarinet in orchestra (uncredited)

Played the clarinet in orchestration for Jaws? Cool!!

I can see him going over the extras:

"Hey, who's that guy?"

"Who?"

"that handsome devil in the back"

"Oh, him? Lemmee see. That's Herman Finkelhoffer."

"I think he's got certain look. Earthy, yet charismatic. I can't put my figure on it, but he's exhilirating to look at. Can we replace Shaw, he's been at the bottle again and I think that guy has a look that will carry the film"

"Um, no sir, we have a contract with Shaw"

"Hmm, really? What about Dreyfus. He's such a whiny pain in the ass"

"Mr. Spielberg, all of the speaking roles are taken, even that cameo with Mr Benchley"

"Yea, well whose idea was it to cast him in my film. For God's sake he's only a writer"

"I don't know sir"

"Okay then. Well get Mr Handsome up front here in front of these other nobodies. I definitely want him in the shot. His chiseled features might be what puts this film over the top"

In this day and age, do different noses really matter? Look at Pale Faced Jackson.

So...what....are you trying to say that's not his *REAL* nose? You've got to be kidding me!!
