Is this produced/shot at good enough quality for a feature film?

I recently produced/directed a short film to work on some technical skills before doing the next feature film. I've done a feature before and the quality could have been better on it so I've been trying to implement some quality control in what I put out there. Basically, I'm not wondering about the story or so much the acting, but in general do you think the quality is at a level that would be good enough for a feature film? If you saw this and it was say a clip from a feature, would you think it looked professional/well produced/watchable? If you rented this accidently from NetFlix and popped it in and saw something at this quality level, what would you think?

I ask because I've read some reviews on independent features on NetFlix and they seem to really get killed in their reviews. I mean people are really cruel. So I'd like to hear it now instead of later when I do a feature.

I guess a better question might be, if you worked at a small studio and had an extra independent feature film script that you needed shot, would you hire me to produce/direct/deliver it at the quality above? If not, why not?

Alright, you asked for it...

The premise is cute, but also fleeting and a little contrived. Why does the mob need their own tech support anymore than they need their own telephone company or mail man. I thought the mob don't use computers, do they really use it enough to need a regular support guy.

crap, you said don't worry about the story, I'll have to get back to you on the rest.

I'm very open to hearing feedback, if you don't like the story there really isn't a lot I can do about it though. Some like it, some won't and I respect that. I don't like every story I read/see either.

What I'm wondering is more on the technical aspects. If you rented something of that quality from NetFlix/Blockbuster, would you be ok with it?

I'm looking at setting out to do another feature in 2010 and was wondering if the quality level is there.

i think it looks like a low budget indie flick. many of the shots are too wide.

but i assume most people that rent low budget movies are generally more forgiving when it comes to the production quality than mainstream moviegoers. as far as this being good enough for blockbuster, i have rented a few movies from them that were lower in quality than this.

Honestly it seems to be edited pretty badly. It spends way too much time in wide shots. The lack of lighting really hurts the few close up shots. More lights, more medium/close shots. If I can't see the characters I can't care about them.

The pacing is really slow as well(more editing problems). Comedy is much faster, you lose me in the very beginning with the floppy drive joke going on far too long. By the 3 min mark I had nearly stopped watching completely which means I missed whatever plot/story you actually had. I had to force myself to keep watching just to be fair on comments. Every bit went on for about twice the amount of time it really needed.

The actors would often pause for huge blocks in between dialog. Tighter editing might have made that flow a whole lot more. More lights (a whole lot more) and tighter editing would have made this a lot better. Don't let a gag go on too long. It just hurts it. Just because you filmed it, doesn't mean it should be in the final cut.
