Is it possible to do the thing where you select a sample of audio and then remove that from another sample in order to remove audio hum in Final Cut Pro? Any other program besides Soundtrack Pro?
You're talking about noise reduction. Most any software that has decent audio editing capabilities has automated noise reduction; the only apps I've personally used that have that "manual" sampling capability are Audition and ProTools. I'd ask over in the FCP forum if you haven't already.
