Hey John I like it too. I wanna see it go... I think it might stand out a bit more if the text was more 3D, but that's a personal pref

My only thought was maybe the logo/text was a little too big (assuming that's the whole frame)

Love the look for sure  :)


Edit: changed my mind... I like the size as is. 8)

John, you should have some lizard crawl across the text or something. I don't know just a suggestion. But I love the whole composition. It's nice!

Good idea Bluespider.

I'm tweaking on it (not literally).

I don't have any 3D programs so thats out; althought that would be way cool. The image is ripped online but if I decided its a keeper I'll ask for permission to use it (the terms on the source site say "Use them, link them, etc and seem pretty flexible).

I have a little Acid score with it thats kind of 'Waterwordly".

The transition effect looks cool but I confess its simply a 3D Cascade of sorts.

I'm open for all kinds of suggestions as I'm kind of trippin on it.

John, you don't need a 3d app. Just use the real thing if you can find one. You can maybe get a over head shot of a gekco lizard running across a green/bluescreen and composite it in. If you want it to look the the lizard is literally crawling on the shape of the text then have cut out letter blocks like the text and have the little dude crawl on that. You get what I'm saying? Anyways its up to you.

John, what kind of loops are you looking for in particular? Orchrestra stings maybe? I purchase tons of loops that I no longer use anymore. Actually my work bought them for me. PM me if you're looking for anything specific. :)

Looks great! But the Moon and sunset are conflicting and don't go well together. What if the background image was actually a timelapse desert sunset? So that the logo anim ended with a Moon lit background of clouds/trees, that way the sunset and Moon were not competing so much. Just a thought.

John, I like what you've done so far, but the whole look has that "Hotel California" feel to it. Perhaps if you desaturate the colors a bit or maybe have a "mono" color theme to tone it down a notch. Based on the company name "Outland", it would make sense that you would want to convey the feeling of desolation. A mono-color backdrop could enhance that effect.

That second one has a cool horor flick vibe.

So does the last one, but not in the same way.

i like it! i think i would like it more if "outland" / "out land" was on the same line though.. but either way its cool

The only thing I'd caution you about is that your text apears to be flying outside of your letterboxing.

Thanks David. These grabs are prior to adding my mask. But I confess, I didnt remember until after these grabs. :P

Now there is a letterbox in place! :D
