Is this normal??????

In the past three weeks, I have been asked to join three projects as either Cam Op, Talent, or DP. One of them I am both talent and cam op at the same time. Two out of three are paid gigs (budgeted film and TV) and one of those is a biggie.

Please don't think I am bragging or flaunting anything, because I am not, I am just speechless on this.

Has this happened to anyone else? And why do you think it happened that way? I want to figure out what the heck I did or didn't do and keep repeating it. I sure am not looking to "look a gift horse in the mouth", but I want this to happen more often.

Things tend to come in groups. When you're in demand, people figure you must be good, and I think that has something to do with it. Remember, for the most part, people don't say "he's too busy working on other people's projects, let's find someone else."

It certainly is a good problem to have, though. That's why it's so important to have friends that are doing the same type of work you are doing. When you find too much work, you can pass it on to each other.

Believe me, if I ever have a scheduling conflict, I know who to call. I made sure to develop those contacts/friends a long time ago. I am a firm believer in "pay it forward".

Hopefully but not necessarily, they believe the same way.
