is this movie done with rotoscoping techinque as well ?

It looks like the same technique Linklater used... but with a different style obviously

looks crazy... but it's also crazy how they can now use cheaper cameras and be more lenient on what goes into camera because it can easily be fixed in roto. More money for studios!

Not as bad a gimmick i think as 3-D.

I think in certain circumstances rotoscoping could be a really cool tool.

And as cheap as it is to shoot i understand the actual process can be very expensive and time consuming.

I think that movie "looks" amazing. I was kind of disappointed that Robert Rodriguez didn't push the look of Sin City that far.

It looks like 3D animation with a toon renderer. The animation is most likely motion captured.

Rotoscoping is the "original" mo-cap and can now be seen as the "poor man's" mo-cap. Watch Ralph Bakshi's work: Wizards, Lord of the Rings, American Pop, Fire & Ice, etc. Rotoscoping was his technique of choice.

I think KingVidiot has the right idea, that didn't look like roto. 3D animation (most likely a combination of mo-cap and key frame) with a toon shader.
