Is this lens worth anything?

This was in a large pile of stuff someone donated to us. Theres two of them with cable controls for follow focus and zoom for each lens.

Is it worth anything or should I dump it? Most of the stuff donated was crap...

If you can remove the lens from the outer mechanism, and it has a c-mount, you might get a few bucks on eBay. The first letter being J means it covers a 2/3 lens, so it won't completely cover a Micro 4/3 sensor, but can be used in ETC mode on the GH cameras, or cropped from 4k. Probably won't get more than a hundred. The 1" TV zoom lenses go for more.

That looks like a really old TV lens. The quality back in the day didn't have to be very good. As Batutta says, take the outer shell off and see if it has the appearance of a normal lens (its round, it has an iris ring with marks, a focus ring with marks and a zoom ring). The box TV lenses can be pretty ugly under that shell and not have any of the normal rings and marks we expect. I have a more modern box lens. Under the box is a casting looks more like a steam engine than a lens. It has no rings or markings for iris, focus, or zoom. It's all done through mechanical cables.

If it looks like a regular lens under the hood, the $100 estimate sounds right to me as well.
