Is this bad ?

I just got my first DVX100B. I wanted to know what others thought about using the camera to import footage. Will I hurt the heads a lot faster? What are others using besides the sony dsr-11. Id love to know what I best way to handle this is.

It is always reccomended you get an external deck but tons of folks use their cameras. If you can swing; do it

Just get a cheapo mini dv camera to capture.

nope, dv is dv. It will all be identical
