Is this an easy lighting and background set up?

I don't think I would go as flat with the key, probably a little more angled for me. It would be for an infomercial style piece with a presenter talking about a speaker system.

Do you see any issues going with this style? I'm thinking just a grey/white canvas background drop and black canvas/duvateen to black out the floor.

I want something safe and quick and am hoping this is the answer.

It may look easy but she is a distance away from that background and I'm willing to bet that they have some big sources going so the light is filling that entire background. Other guesses?

I hear you on the modeling but if you look at how

1) glamour cover shots are done, it's usually flat, soft front lighting to flatter the skin

2) studio commercials are done it's always high-key, bright, shadowless lighting like in a sitcom.

In both cases, use a backlight on the hair/head/shoulders to get some separation and glam.

The big problem for me is the background, which is exceedingly boring. Can you get some props back there? Plants, fake trees? Can you get a backdrop with some texture in it? Some colors? Can you project a cookie on it and or rake it with light to get some shadows? Anything? Buehler?

My $.02. :undecided
