Is this a tall C-Stand?

I just bought some C-Stands and they seem really tall. Like, much taller than regular C-Stands.
They are the Kupo brand, but they might be an older version of the Kupo brand?

The base + center column (without a knuckle on it) is 60" (5ft) tall.
Is this taller than a regular C-Stand or am I just crazy

C stands are available in different lengths.

Kupo certainly make a 'tall' one - we have two in the office and I find them annoying vs 'regular' avenger stands in 80% of setups. They feel a bit too tall for the size of the base.

They do however clearly go tall enough to hang a backdrop taller than any human!

The avenger website is really unclear on thier lengths.

Maybe it is 30in vs 40 in?

Yeah, I didnt realize there were different lengths so I didnt bother to check before buying.
I too think that I will find them annoying. I want to get more down the line and they will be all different sizes too.
Guess I might throw them back on the market

With the knuckle on and the arm attached, it is eye level. Which definitely seems like a much taller CStand

MItch is as always correct, I guess the standard is 40.

Kupo also sell/sold 50 I guess.

I have 4 40in (avenger) and 2 of the taller kupos - it makes a good package but I would not wnat them as my primaries.

I have had good use flying a small LED off the tall kupo and its 40 arm to make a hairlight.

Yeah, 40’s are the standard. I have about 8-10 40’s and one 20” that pulls double duty. Sometimes it’s for the 17” monitor, sometimes it’s for the table top for talent during LS’s.

You can also fit four 40” c-stands, with base, riser and arm/knuckles, in a Pelican 1750 gun case. Five if you’re feeling adventurous.

I am aware that the 40" is standard but didnt know what that was referring to, the height or the arm length. Guess I know now.
This looks to be a 50" stand. With the base, its rather too tall.

Thanks.
Ill just sell these.

The total length of the center column when collapsed is exactly 51" - not including the turtle base legs or knuckles.
So, a normal C-Stand length should be 40" you say?
