With the movie rights for Pac-Man and Joust already snapped up, the bidding war for the privilege to adapt Atari's old-school rock-buster Asteriods into a film has come to an end.

So I plan to build a large pirate ship someday, painted black with red trim. Should be awesome and intimidating. The name I was thinking of most recently, which is written on my dry-erase board, is 'Frogger's Revenge'. My point is that it could also be a good name for an action movie. Except than I'd have to rename my ship.

Battleship was greenlit a few months back.

And HALO is a doomed film. It was attempted a few times, put into turnaround, and now Peter Jackson is sitting on it.

Niel B(something) director of District 9 was originally going to direct it. But so far, no movement had been made.

I can see asteroids being a film. You have to really work with the concept, but I can see it.
