Well after a lifelong ambition, and a couple months worth of research this is what I am about to blow my cash on. Keep in mind some things I need due to a disability that leaves me unable to do my own camera work, such as the waveshot and comtek so I can monitor whats going on. Also I already have legs for the tripod.

Anyway, is this a good setup? Could I save more cash? Comments, advice?

Looks like a great set-up. I'm jealous but also somewhat concerned by the $2,699 (ebay) price for the camera. If you're going to throw all that business at B&H, why not the camera too?

Not to rain on your parade but you might consider going with a 'reputable' reseller / retailer. That price could be one of those that's 'too good to be true'.
 
I didn't know, I figured it was low enough a price to be real. Anything past 10k I pay directions out of pocket so I was trying to cut back (also why I didn't get a firestore.) I will do some more looking.

I agree with fevercity. But for the rest of your list, I first have to know for what purpose your camera is going to be used?
 
The camera I saw on ebay was from a seller named JandK cameras. Only reason it caught my eye is because they had almost 5000 feedback with a 100% positive rating.

Id consider ditching those... and the lowel lights, then look at another lighting option. (sorry having tested many including lowel lately I have to say I am not a fan).

Also you got some good mics and from the sounds of it your going to mic to your camera? Not the best option. Better of with a boom. If you need to get yourself a good C stand and clamp the boom to it to get the mic as close to the actors as possible.

Just my 2c hope it helps.

Hey ncje,
there's a few things I don't like about some of their lights also; BUT, if you haven't yet, check out their Pro-Lights; those things ROCK!
Small (good for travel), focusable, up to 250W on AC, and you can either use 120V, 230V, 12V/DC or 30V/DC bulbs.
Those are REALLY great (IMO).

Vidled yeah sorry I cant comment on those because never used them etc. But I am sure some of their stuff must be good. Maybe just not what I tested in side by side comparisons.
