If you call them the price should be around $387... but I highly advise you against choosing an omni unless you're REALLY sure that's what you want... if you read around the audio forums you'll find that very few pros ever use one... a cardioid is the pro's choice for wide area pickup. Good mics hear everything so well (compared to cheaper models you may be used to) that it's as much of a challenge to not record what you don't want to hear as it to successfully record what you do want to hear.

Let's say you want to record a group of kids playing on a playground and there's a road nearby... the cardioid can still cover the same swath of sound that an omni can out front, but it can also ignore the road behind you. This ability to use both ends (and the sides) of the mic is why pros don't normally use omnis... and it's also why expensive shotguns handle situations so much better then cheap guns.

Maybe you already knew this and in that case I'm sorry for putting it out there again... it's just that I cringe every time I hear a video guy asking for an omni.

Second that. Omni mics are good for sound effects (I guess?). CK93 is for the spoken word. Also, it's a sweet sounding mic on acoustic guitar.

Just to clarify... I'll second that second and say it's probably the ck93 that you really want...

The ck93 hyper is for dialog and this capsule choice will probably end up being the one you use for between 70-90% unless you get a REALLY good shotgun... and in that case it will be around 60-70%.

Omni = useless

Well I could think of a couple of uses for it, but thats for another thread

Get the hyper cap, then if you don't have a gun, get the gun cap, then you're golden like a shower my friend!
