...to open my DVD-drive manually in Windows XP? My PC desktops are located in the room next to where I work, so it would be sometimes much easier to close and open the dvd-drive from the windows somehow...

But how?

My Computer > Right Click on the Drive > Select Eject

But then won't you have to get up anyway and change the disc ?
 
Aah, ejecting was that easy...never tried it...but how about closing it also? :huh: Because that's what I need mostly...I can't see "close" button there...

John, sometimes my DVD or CD ejects by itself for example in Premiere when you first click "burn the dvd" and then you click "cancel"...then it opens the DVD drive automatically and I have to get up and close it...that's my problem sometimes, heh, I have got enough of it. :) I always hear "that sound" when the drive opens and aaah, then I have to get up...Otherwise, it's great exercise between long hours...:beer:
