Is there Hard-drive that clients can view on LCD?

[RobbySonic]

Hi there,

The producer of a company I work for discussed with me an idea that Clients could possibly get viewable HD footage from us that they could connect from some kind of hard-drive to their HD LCD or PLasma TV via HDMI or component cable.

If there is such a device you know about that is 500Gb or higher I would love your feedback or advice/and or links on this topic.

thanks,

Robin

I've actually been looking at this guy from Western Digital:

http://www.wdc.com/en/products/Products.asp?DriveID=572#

It plays video files off of a hard drive (any HD) in supposedly 1080p over HDMI. They only thing that worried me was, it converts the files. Which might end up looking like crap depending on what kind of converting they do.

Any body play with one of these yet?

I have the Asus Oplay, and I like it a lot. See my quick review in the 7D section.
