Is there anyway to do this?

I've been editing my film for the past year and have moved film clips in and out between different Vegas file but when I end up deleting music from my computer or even film footage since I'm not planning on using them - that now when I open up a Vegas file I would get a white box that says "The following file could not be found in the specified location: Etc..... What do you want to do? Search for missing file, Specify a new location or replacement file, Ignore missing file and leave it off line etc.... I usually just click Ignore all missing files. Is there a way to get rid of that so it is a fresh Vegas file or will I need to copy all the footage on a new VF? I also started new VF but ended up using old ones deleting all the stuff and doing a SAVE AS and now I get the white box every time. I hope I made sense?

Use the little lightning icon over the project media window. That will delete anything from the project that you're not using on the timeline.

Didn't work - I click on it and nothing. Am I suppose to do something else while clicking it?

If you click it, save, close the project, re-open the project, and still have missing files, that means you've deleted some of the files associated with clips on your timeline. You'll have to delete them out of your timeline and then try again.

if I delete my clips out of my timeline then I will have to start over on editing and after spending a year editing I have no interest in re-edit my whole film over again.

I didn't say delete everything. But if you click the lightning icon, you remove any clip you're not using on the timeline from your project. Which means, if you close the project and open it again, if it tells you that there are missing files, the missing files must be for clips on your timeline. So, you have blank clips in your timeline.
