I just got a new Power Mac G5 as a gift and Apple Support said that Final Cut Pro 3 would not run on it because of the newer video cards. I really don't want to buy Final Cut Pro 5 and if I return the computer the apple store charges a fee on the computer and monitor even though they said that Final Cut Pro 3 would work on it. Does anyone know how to install Final Cut Pro 3 on a G5? Thanks

The issue is that FCP looks for an AGP slot, which the new G5s don't have. The tip above tells you how to get around it.
Not sure if it works with FCP3, tho.
