I want to put a little green tape on a corner of something (for motion tracking), wondering if there is a way to contextual aware fill key in After Effects to make the tape disappear?
A little more detail of what you want to track, if it's a monitor/tv/screen replacement, have it display an image of a few tracking markers, or print a piece of paper with multiple tracking markers on tape it to the screen, and then your replacement video/picture also removes the tracking marks.
But to do it your way, if it is a simple track
Track your point to a null
Export the frame into photoshop and remove the mark
Import it back into AE, mask off the corrected area
Parent the fixed image to the tracked null.
This only works for 2d movement, if it changes size or rotates then same principle, just more tracking markers ect.
Easy answer is no. That would be awesome though. I love using it in photoshop. Like kevinottawa said tracking and mask are your best bet. Mocha for after effects works well for tracking as well. It comes with ae. You can use corner pin data to apply it. I would think that would be best for what you're trying to do. If it's a stable shot then you can just use a simple mask and that should be fine. But if there's movement it gets a bit trickier. If a person is in front of the screen at all then it gets even trickier.
if you can shoot twice the scene, you shoot one with and one wthiout tape, so you just need to replace the mask with the content of 2nd shot.
and if you cannot do that, you can eventually fill the mask with some adjecent pixel that would be close to what required
