Start here guys:

Do a Google search for "after effects tutorials" and you'll get a ton of hits. I'd start with CreativeCow, though; they're well known and respected. I would also recommend the "Creating Motion Graphics with After Effects" books by Chris and Trish Meyers.

Creative cow is good for tutorials but VASST basicly is a school with real effect samples, that all you just need to do is change the texts to what you want or modify the effects to soothe what you want.
VASST has enough presets, free plugins, free shares etc for Sony Vegas. so there is a big different between the 2 sites, except if I am missing something????

Sorry, I thought you were looking for educational resources, a major component of the Vasst site.

I'm not sure how many of these are free, but take at look at this site:

Here's a list of some info and tutorial sites. No filters, but lots of educational stuff.

You should be able to find some free scripts and other helpfull goodies. After Effects doesn't really have Presets and such as Vegas does, so you may have a hard time finding info if that is what you are looking for. What you will get, is a better understanding of the workings of AE, and that will get you where you need to be.
