Is there a way to turn video effects off?

I just finished color-correcting every shot in my short film and I need to go back and make some edits. Problem is, with CC on every shot, the videos play choppy and I can't tell what the edit looks like.

Is there a way to quickly toggle on and off the video effects, for either each clip or for the whole projects?

just click the little circle with the "FX" in it (or whatever pending your version..its still the little button in the top left of the effect controls) in the top left corner of the effect controls window for the specific effect. it toggles the effect on or off.

I know how to turn individual effects on and off. But it's completely inefficient to have to turn off every single effect of every single clip in each scene just to be able to see every frame when you play the scene.

I also know that I can render the work bar area, however all of my files are on an external hard drive and it takes forever to render. I will definitely be storing all of my clips in an internal hard drive next time around.

I am using Premiere 1.5 for this. In the second step when you click on that arrow it will pop out a box (which windows would not let me capture). In that box is the Effects Enabled which should have the check beside it. Sorry for the misspellings, I did this rather quickly.. Hope this helps.

NOTE: In section 1 you can also just right click there, choose select all then do step 2. This will select all effects audio, motion, opacity along with your other effects.

Wow, thanks a ton! Any chance there's a way to do this for multiple clips or the whole project all at one time?
