Is there a way to render 480i versions of your footage without having to do each clip one by one...

Or...

How about throwing all the 1080 clips into a timeline and rendering them as one continous 480i, then dropping the huge 480i clip and utilizing sections of it as separate clips... will this kill resources on your computer as well?

so you select the region you want to render with the yellow markers then you click on it and select the output type?

then you get individual clips rendered to a single folder?

I am a bit confused on how to use it...
I selected (with the yellow markers ) a region of my timeline containing three 1080 24PA clips and I went into Tools > Scripting > Batch Render > then I thought I was selecting the output... so I chose Sony MXF > NTSC DV 24p Widescreen... but I got an Error

Why would you want Sony MXF?

With the Batch Render, you'd select GREEN regions -- highlight the area you want and press "R." Unlike the yellow Loop regions, you can have (I think) up to 99.

Then, under the Batch Render dialog, choose "Render Regions." For DV, you'd want to choose "Video for Windows" to make an AVI.
