is there a way for FCP to automatically change scratch disks based on the project?

i find myself working on several projects simultaneously. its easy enough to switch to a new project, but i dont always remember to change scratch disks each time, so some of my media is spread out among all my active project folders. is there a way for FCP to somehow save scratch destinations and link them to that project specifically?

ideally, the end goal would be for FCP to change my scracth disks any time i open up a new projcet tab.

That is not ever going to be possible until we find out about the new FCP but I know and use a workaround program you can purchase. It's called EditMule AutoScratch. What this program does is that it allows you to link your a project file to a scratch disk so that everytime you open your project it remembers your scratch disk location. Also, it allows you to link multiple similar project files together. The only downside though is that if you have one project file open linked to one scratch disk, opening a another project file won't allow you to switch to a different scratch disk. Overall, I believe it's must have and lifesaver for any FCP editor because I use multiple hard drives to do projects. Here is a link to the product on the main site as well as a link to toolfarm.com at a reduced price:http://editmule.com/pages/plugins/plugin.php?id=1 and http://toolfarm.stores.yahoo.net/edmuausc.html. Hope this helps.
