Well... Is there such thing?

Also, been thinking about distance to the actors. Amateur actors maybe will have an easier time to focus on the acting, & an idea to go 100-mil isch (?). Just thinking out loud here... from technical pov distortion free faces obviously, but...

There isn't a standard focal length used. Sometimes it's a long lens, sometimes it's a wide.

Test out different focal lengths and decide which gives the best feel for what you want to visually convey. If you want distortion free, I'd stay away from really wide lenses up-close.
