Is there a significant difference between bogen 501 and 503?

Just out of curiousity is there any major difference, or is it just a bit smoother?

On ebay you can get a 501 from an online store for like 129 bucks.

The 503 is a far superior head for the price difference.. the biggest thing is the counterbalance spring, which avoids the tilt of death. It also has way better drag controls.. but neither are true fluid heads.

But yeah.. the Millers are very nice, a little small for my liking but good movement.

Does anyone know if they make a 100mm to 150mm bowl adapter? That is to put a 150mm head onto a set of 100mm legs. I know they make an adapter the other way around...

well you can take off the male bowl off your head and put a 100mm one on it.. but i dont know if i would recommend it.
