Is there a high resolution youtube?

[Krunko]

Youtube sucks when it comes to quality and resolution. Has anyone come out with a website that essentially does the same thing, except much higher res?

Vimeo is great. I can't believe how much space they give you for free! And, as an added bonus, the original file (mov, avi, etc) is still downloadable from the movie's page.

Not exactly the same as YouTube, since you use an application to browse and playback video, rather than a web browser, but Miro is a good way to share content in higher resolution.

Wow these are all good links, I didn't know anything like this existed.

I'd just found out about Stage6 last week. They're all great sites.

Vimeo is excellent, highly recommended.
And now they do HD too, and yes like previously mentioned you can download the original files too!

That brightcove sight needs some policing/moderators.

Go to their films&shorts and its a bunch of hip hop clips.

This is a great thread.

I found that I couldn't hear the audio on Brightcove's Tour video, and it got stuck at 3 seconds and I had to manually advance it.

Stage 6 is Divx based, which is fine except it requires an install which might turn some people off. Nice interface though.

Vimeo is cool, but I don't like the bright white, busy interface. Cool and dark (like DVX user!) is easier on the eyes.

All around, great options, thanks to all who posted.
