Hay guys

For example the music only starts when there's a presence of danger or after a sad moment. Is there such a term in the film industry?

cheers

"Target Music" Especially if you use the same type of music as a vehicle throughout the film to convey that message/emotion. After the second or third time the viewer will consciously/subconciously associate that music with that mood you are trying to convey for the rest of the film.

Be very choosy on what you use for this though, the viewer can and will get bored and irritated if it is not aesthetically/aurally pleasing.

But there are other names for it.
