Is there a decent phone App for Music video playback?

[ruester]

I can use either iPhone or Android apps...

I am trying to shoot a music video, we are doing it guerrilla style and need a quick and easy way to jump to specific points in a song (mm:ss) - does anyone know a good app that would accomplish this... preferably free, but might buy it...

I know I could use a standard player, but trying to use the little slider to do that is problematic I've discovered...

Thanks for any help!!

Let's revive this old thread! Six years later, should be something out there, right?

I'm looking for an app with big buttons and the ability to divide a song into sections for easy and quick playback. Also speed change would be a bonus for slow mo. Anyone found anything?

Pre Planning!

Do your speed changes in advance along with segment breakdowns in an audio app, I use Pro Tools, then export each segment, and import into something like iTunes for playback.

VLC free will let you jump to certain time

Have also found it to be a must for speed changes.... Give the speeded up audio to your performers way in advance so they can practice performing their song. Unless you have all the time in the world to shoot.

I made a visual music video playback system. It's a simple video file that you put on your smart phone or tablet that makes playback a lot easier on shoots. I've used it on two shoots so far and it's worked great for me.

Have a look at a video I made explaining how it works: https://samisanpakkila.com/2019/07/visual-music-video-playback/
